Table: Sando Bar

Sando Bar is Surry Hill’s latest offering taking over the Brooklyn Bagels space on Commonwealth Street. It’s bye-bye bagels and hello Sando! This is not your average cafe food or sandwich bar, it’s a deliciously inventive Japanese take on the Aussie lunch staple. Sando Bar is named after it’s famous ‘Katsu Sando’, the mouth-wateringly Japanese sandwich that starts with Tonkatsu pork rolled in panko crumbs and deep fried, paired with cabbage slaw and lotus chips – yum! Former chef at La Lupita and Hills Bros, Naoya Shimada has teamed up with the crew from Tokyo Bird and Osaka Trading Co to deliver his unique menu.    Along with their sandwiches, you’ll find some classic flavours such as their shoyu ramen, japanese omlette, avo on toast with furikake, and garlic-yuzu chicken.  Send us your orders!
