Insight: 2019 Recap

Every month Insight explores a topic that is relevant to the rapidly evolving world or work.  Our programming is guided by what is happening around us, both locally and globally.  And, as important as it is to continually be mapping the trends of this break neck (read more about this years TRENDS here), it is also important to look back every year and see the journey of our topics and our alumni of Insight guests have taken us on.   Here’s our year in review and below that you will find some of our favourite bite-sized samples to encourage you to deep dive into the topics that interest you.  See you next year!   Each month a new Insight theme is explored, delivered and debated. Our 2019 program is as follows:

Take a look at Smart Design Studio’s vision for their new Alexandria studio Stokes 14 and much more during February’s The Future Workplace. Alice Tran, Cindy Lukin and Anthia Kollouros talk business and how they broke through the mans world during Female Founders March Insight. What is real truth and fake, find out from an Investigative Journalist, a Professor of Linguistics and a Minister during Aprils Insight The Truth of an Uncertain Age. Do you use your employees talent correctly, find out how in our The War for Talent from May. Rachael Ward talks about how she landed her role as the Director for the film Palm Beach, along side Alex White and Shannon Murphy during The Film Business in June. Hear a little bit about Tourism in Romania and a lot more from the top in the Tourism Game, from our 21st Century Tourism Insight during July. Hear what Barrie Barton has to say when Naomi asks the Property panelist how to balance profits and ethics, during Property Profits Insight from August. Learn about the history of Community Foundations and Sydney Community Foundations from Jane Jose from September’s Philanthropy Insight. Hear Sally-Ann Williams talk about the importance of Education for Innovation at our October Innovate & Accelerate Insight. Hear what Peter Tonagh’s Leadership Manifesto is from our November Leadership 2020 Insight.   Thank you all for supporting not only our Insight program, but the work of Sydney Community Foundation, as full proceeds from our events go directly to a business incubator program for disadvantaged and migrant women.
