Sydney architect, urban designer and the Environment Commissioner for the Greater Sydney Commission, Rod Simpson believes that a liveable city is a resilient one. He conceives the city as a system of systems working together at multiple scales, that makes up the “mosaic of the city”.
Greater Sydney is Australia’s economic powerhouse, representing 25% of Australia’s GDP, and will grow from 5 million to 8 million people in the next 40 years. Led by Chief Commissioner Lucy Turnbull, the Greater Sydney Commission is leading metropolitan planning to make Greater Sydney more productive, sustainable and liveable.
