Clare Press

“Stand for something or you will fall for anything” – Alexander Hamilton

Proving the pen is mightier than the sword, and showing how second-hand is no longer second-class, Clare Press is on a crusade to educate, mobilise and galvanise us around causes that matter.  Her new book Rise & Resist (Melbourne University Press) charts the new activism sweeping the world, particularly around social and climate justice.

A journalist for nearly two decades, and an expert on sustainable and ethical fashion, Clare was this year appointed Vogue Australia’s Sustainability Editor-at-Large (the first in the world). She spreads the word about responsible fashion via her iTunes chart-topping podcastWardrobe Crisis, and actively champions sustainability in all its forms.
